Embracing Gratitude as We Approach Thanksgiving (Week 2) 🍂

As Thanksgiving approaches, I continue my daily practice of gratitude. Reflecting on the small blessings in each day is a powerful reminder that even during challenging times, there are always reasons to be thankful. This past week presented its own mix of ups and downs, but focusing on what I appreciate has kept me grounded. Here are my reflections for Days 9-15. I hope they inspire you to recognize your life's blessings, no matter how small they may seem.

Days of Gratitude: Week 2 🌻

Day 9: I could get a good night's sleep without taking any sleep aids.

😴 Sometimes, a good night's rest feels like a luxury, especially when you've been struggling with sleep. I'm grateful for those rare nights when I can rest peacefully and wake up feeling refreshed.

Day 10: I spoke with my therapist about struggles in my personal life.

💬 Therapy has been a lifeline for me. Being able to openly discuss what's weighing on my mind and find guidance has been invaluable. I'm grateful for the space to heal and grow.

Day 11: I'm thankful that my husband didn't end up in the hospital over the weekend.

❤️ Health scares can be terrifying, but this weekend, we were fortunate. I'm incredibly grateful for his well-being.

Day 12: Although I have arthritis in my knees, I can still get on my knees to pray.

🙏 Sometimes, we take our physical abilities for granted. Despite the pain, I'm grateful to still kneel in prayer—a small but deeply meaningful act of faith.

Day 13: I'm grateful that the van I didn't see missed hitting us.

🚐 Life can change in a split second. I'm so thankful for that near miss, which reminded me of how precious and fragile life truly is.

Day 14: The prayers I've been saying for my therapist are working.

🌟 Therapists carry so much weight from their clients, and I'm grateful that my prayers are being answered, helping my therapist find the strength to continue their incredible work.

Day 15: I could take the kids to the library to get help with their homework.

📚 Being able to support my kids in their education is something I never take for granted. I'm grateful for the resources and the ability to be there for them.

As Week 2 of this gratitude journey comes to a close, I’m reminded of how powerful it is to take time each day to reflect on the blessings in our lives. Even on challenging days, focusing on the good—no matter how small—has kept me centered and uplifted. This practice isn’t about ignoring the difficult moments but about choosing to acknowledge the light that still shines through.

I hope these reflections inspire you to pause and find your own moments of gratitude. As we head into the final week before Thanksgiving, let’s keep this momentum going. Let’s continue to look for the silver linings, cherish the small wins, and embrace each day with a heart full of gratitude.

Thank you for journeying with me this far. I can’t wait to share the final week’s reflections with you soon. Until then, keep counting those blessings! 🌻🧡

With gratitude and a dash of courage,
